ANNOUNCEMENTS &
SCHOOL CLOSINGS
A telephone broadcast system provided by
SchoolReach is used
to notify households and parents via phone within minutes of an emergency and/or
unplanned event that may cause a school cancellation, early dismissal or delayed
start.
The service works by simultaneously calling all phone numbers on our
contact list and delivering a recorded message from one of our school
administrators.
Recorded messages are delivered to both live-answer and answering
machine/voice-mail devices. Telephone numbers with no answer or a busy signal are
retried twice in 15-minute intervals after the initial call. No registration is required
by school families to participate and outbound telephone numbers are always secure.
St. Augustine School follows Andover Public Schools’
schedule for closings, early dismissals and delayed starts due to inclement weather.
School closings are reported to and announced by WBZ radio and local television stations.
Please do not call the school to
inquire about scheduling changes due to weather. Tune-in to your local news stations
for the most up-to-date information.
