SCRIP FUNDRAISER

Printable November Information Sheet
What is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money.” The Scrip Program enables
St. Augustine School families and friends to purchase pre-paid gifts cards for their favorite retailers
for everyday purchases like food, clothing, gas, and entertainment. A percentage
of each dollar spent is paid back to the school – it’s fundraising without selling.
How Does it Work?
The retailers that participate in Scrip want to support non-profit organizations
like ours and in return, ask that you support them by shopping at their stores.
All you have to do is purchase gift cards through St. Augustine School, and
the school receives a percentage of the sale.
The gift cards you receive are the same as those you’d purchase directly from the store. So you can give them as gifts or
use them yourself – or both! Simple place your order using the attached form and within about a week, your cards will be sent home via backpack mail or can be picked
up at the school office.
Our Goal is $8,000!
Scrip was introduced to St. Augustine School in 2006. In our first year, the school made $1,816.
With program awareness increasing and your participation, we’re sure to reach our goal of $8,000 in 2007/08.
Scrip order forms will be sent home monthly and are also available in the school office.
During the holiday season, we will offer more frequent ordering dates (as noted above) for your shopping convenience.
