Mr. Walters grew up in British Columbia, Canada, where he attended a Benedictine high school and spent a year as a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Vancouver; most recently, he received a degree in Liberal Arts from Thomas More College in Merrimack NH. Reading, exploring the grandeur of God's creation, poetry, and making music take up much of his spare time. His favorite saint is St. Joseph, the foster-father of Jesus, because he is the model for Catholic masculinity, and his favorite thing about St. Augustine's is the close community, both among the faculty and the students.
Bio: Susan taught in Methuen Public Schools in elementary and middle levels. In Methuen, she was also a Title One teacher at the middle school level and eventually the Literacy Coordinator for the City’s schools. She was a statewide workshop presenter for DESE and was a reading coach for Billerica.

Bio: Molly joined the St. Augustine School family in 2011. Her three children graduated from St. Augustine School and she resides in Andover with her husband and children.
Favorite Saint: St. Gertrude of Neville because of her integrity, and her devotion to both faith and family.
Favorite thing about St. A’s: St. Augustine School feels like an extension of my family. I enjoy coming to work because of my terrific students and caring coworkers.

Bio: Dina is beyond blessed to be working at the school she attended when she was young! She loves working with the Pre-K kids and loves her fellow teachers and teacher’s aids! She never thought God would lead her here, and she counts her blessings every day for this amazing job.

Favorite thing about St. A’s: Having Christ be at the center of everything we do is what makes this school absolutely wonderful. I see Christ every day in the Pre-K kids I work with. It is truly a beautiful blessing to be a part of what this school stands for: truth, unity, and love.

Bio: Miss Walsh always knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was a very young child. She attended Catholic schools her entire life, so teaching at St. A’s is the perfect place where she can share her faith and love of computers to future generations. She started teaching computer technology in Southern California in 2000 and at St. Augustine School in 2007. Miss. Walsh lives in her hometown of Arlington, MA and enjoys the summer at White Horse Beach with her large family.
Favorite Saint: St. Patrick and St. Jude
Favorite thing about St. A’s: St. Augustine School has brought joy and happiness to my faith and my life. She loves being able to share her faith with her students. One of her highlights of the year is working on The Stations of the Cross with Grade 8.

Bio: I am an alumna of Sacred Hearts School in Bradford and of Emmanuel College of Boston. My teaching career has spanned over forty years in public education, and I am in my third year of teaching at St. A’s. My goal is to complete fifty years of teaching as it is a joy to teach children to speak in another language, modern or ancient. Just remember: Latin is not a dead language.
Favorite Saint: St. Paul I have to admire a person who not only heard Jesus’ call but who communicated with so many different communities in so many different languages.
Favorite thing about St. A’s: St. Augustine’s is a very strong faith-based community! I feel truly blessed to be a part of a caring community.

Bio (3-4 sentence): Nurse Kim was new to St. Augustine School last year after being a stay at home mother of two girls ages 8 and 3. She spent most of her nursing career in a busy skilled nursing facility in North Andover, and grew to love school nursing after working at a local school for which she continues to work on her time off.

Favorite thing about St. A’s: Being a new staff member, nurse Kim has felt the immediate support from staff to feel included and part of the greater St Augustine community. She has enjoyed working with students and families thus far, and is looking forward to the year to come.

Bio: Ms. Theodore was first introduced to Saint Augustine’s in 2021. While working towards her master's degree, she was Saint A’s Merrimack Fellow. Throughout her Fellowship, she collaborated with the special education teacher to find ways to best support their students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Last year she was extremely blessed to have been provided with the opportunity to spend more time at Saint A’s as the new K-4 Special Education Teacher. Ms. Theodore believes every child is unique and deserves high-quality educational opportunities. She strives for her students to meet their fullest potential by providing an inclusive, risk-taking, and collaborative learning environment that will allow them to grow and become strong learners.

Bio: Mrs. St. Germain has taught at St. Augustine’s School since 2022. Prior to this, she taught high school social studies from 2003-2015. She stepped away from teaching to raise her three children who are now all students at St. Augustine’s School. Mrs. St. Germain feels extraordinarily blessed to be the Middle School ELA teacher. She looks forward to entering the classroom each day and being witness to the goodness and growth of every one of her students.

Bio: Mrs. Spalding has been working at St. Augustine since 2021 teaching Math, Science and Religion. She is now the Business Manager. Being an animal lover, she enjoys nature walks in the woods and on the beach with her golden retriever, Toby. Mrs. Spalding also enjoys spending time with her family and lives with her husband and college age son in Newburyport.

Bio: Mrs. Rex has been working at St. Augustines in a variety of positions since 1987. To highlight a few, she has fulfilled the roles as an educator, school counselor, academic bowl coach, and student leadership advisor. She also enjoys coordinating middle school dances and many volunteer opportunities for students. She is proud to be the second of three generations to attend this school that she considers her second home. Not only was Mrs. Rex once a student here, but her father, her uncle, and all three of her children attended as well. When she is not at school, Mrs. Rex can be found spending time with her family, her dog and her cat; Bella and Winni, going to Lake Winnipesaukee, her heaven on earth, and being a dorm mom to thirty high school students at Phillips Academy. She loves cooking, musicals, country concerts, boating, and skiing. Fun Fact: She even met her husband here, Mr. Rex, the former Phys. Ed. teacher, when they both started their teaching careers.

Bio: Mrs. Poussard has been teaching science for 15 years and has been teaching at St/ A’s for 7 years. She loves helping students develop a love for science and learn to explore the world around them. Her son and daughter both attend St. Augustines too. In her free time, Mrs. Poussard loves to spend time with her family.

Bio: Mrs. Papineau has been teaching since 2016 in 5th, 6th, and 8th grades. As a former commercial pilot, she has a passion for math and science and enjoys sharing that love with her students. Mrs. Papineau will have three boys to come through St. Augustine’s, with the oldest starting this year in Nursery School.

Bio: Ms. Miller has been working at St. Augustine’s since 2021 as music teacher and choir director. She has been an active musician since she was a little girl and is thrilled to share her love of music with her students. Ms. Miller lives in Boston with her fiance, two cats, Mary and Sherlock, and dog, Nala.

Bio: Mrs. Merheb has been part of St. Augustine’s community since 2017. First as a mom, and as an assistant in PreK and a librarian a year after. She became the Lead PreK teacher in 2020. Mrs. Merheb loves to spend time with family and friends. She enjoys traveling, relaxing at the beach, and taking advantage of the warm weather. She loves kids and thinks that God gave her the teaching devotion to help them grow loving Him.

Favorite thing about St. A’s: As an immigrant family , St. A’s is home away from home to Mrs. Merheb and her family. St.A’s is helping students grow as a whole, spiritually and academically.

Degree: B.A Early Childhood/Psychology, Salem State University
Bio: Mrs. Mears started working at St. Augustine School in 1993. She has three children, all alumni of St. A’s . She enjoys trips to the mountions, and visiting her family in Sicily.
Favorite Saint: Alfio, Filadelfo and Cirino. The Three Saints were brothers. They were arrested by Roman soldiers and taken to Rome where the imperial Court tried to make them denounce their faith. Unsuccessful, the three brothers traveled from Rome to Messina and Sicily. They stopped and rested in the town of Trecastagni. On May 10th in the year 253, the Brothers were martyred. Mrs. Mears continues her family tradition celebrating the feast of the Three Saints in Lawrence and Sicily in September and May.
Favorite thing about St. A’s: The love and dedication we have to the school to make it a better place academically and spiritually. Everyone is part of one big family that respects and cares for one another.

Bio: Ms. McVey is an alumni of St. Augustine School. She has two daughters who currently attend St. A’s, and this will be Ms. McVey’s second year working at the school. She has 16 years of experience teaching students ranging in ages from 4 through 18. Prior to teaching at St. Augustine’s, Ms. McVey also worked in Andover Public School’s Bridge Autism Program, where she taught weekly art groups, as well as Excel High School in South Boston, where she taught World Dance. The Arts Community as a whole is near and dear to her heart and she can’t wait to share her knowledge and love of Art with her students!

Bio: Ms. McCarthy is thrilled to have joined the St. Augustine School community in 2022. She is passionate about Catholic education, which she believes powerfully enriches the development and character of individuals, broader communities, and society at large. She feels especially blessed that, working in admissions, she is able to introduce so many students and families to SAS, a school that has fostered strong scholarship and community for over a century. Ms. McCarthy hopes that many more families will discover and fall in love with the particular formation that their children are able to receive in Catholic schools, and she is so grateful to play a role in that!

Bio: Mrs. Maresca has 19 years of teaching experience. She has been part of the St. Augustine School community as a parent, volunteer, and now as a teacher for the past 12 years. All four of her children are proud graduates of St. A’s. She enjoys drawing, painting, and art of all kinds in her spare time.

Bio: Mrs. Landers has been an educator at St. Augustine School since 2004. She has 3 children who are current St. Augustine School students. Mrs. Landers teaches Religion, Literature, and Social Studies. She is also the school Ministry Coordinator, facilitating school service activities and liturgical events.

Bio: Mrs. Iannazzi is a lifelong resident of Andover and has three children that attend St. A’s. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Merrimack College. Prior to having children, she taught pre-k, worked in special education at public schools, was a Girl Scout leader, and ran clubs and after school activities for local organizations. She loves spending summers with her family on her sister's horse farm in Kentucky.

Favorite thing about St. A’s: Mrs. Iannazzi loves being a parent and a staff member at St. Augustine. She loves that the school feels like one big family. If you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life! Being part of an amazing community has inspired her to dive deeper into her education and Catholic faith.

Bio: Mrs. Hanley has been working at St. A’s for 6 years. Before working at St. A’s, she worked at another parochial school for 13 years and then in public school for 15 years before retiring. She is delighted to be back teaching in a Catholic school! Mrs. Hanley feels very blessed that her four grandchildren all attend St. A’s!

Bio: Mrs. Guillet has been teaching at St. A’s for 17 years and has been an educator in the Catholic school system for a whopping total of 30 years! She is an alum as well as her two daughters. Her mother, aunts, and uncles are also St. A’s graduates from way back when! She lives in Andover with her husband, an Andover Firefighter, and two girls.
Favorite Saint: St. Jude
Favorite thing about St. A’s: Mrs. Guillet loves the fact that she was able to come back and teach at “her school”. She loves the relationships that she forges with her students and peers and how each class year after year becomes one little family. St. A’s holds a special place in her heart.

Bio: This is Mrs. Grasso’s 5th year teaching math at St. Augustine’s. She believes that everyone is a “math person” and loves coming to school every day and sharing her love of numbers and problem solving with her students! Before teaching at St. Augustine’s, she served in a Support Services role for middle school students and is happy to be able to build relationships with her students in the time she teaches them. She lives in Tewksbury with her husband and two children who also attend St. A’s.

Bio: Mrs. Mandy is going on her third year working at St. Augustine School. What she loves most about working at St. Augustine’s is being able to practice her faith with her students. Mrs. Mandy's philosophy is to Live, Love, Learn and Grow. When you Live, you Love and when you Love, you Learn and when you Learn you Grow and we all learn together !
Favorite Saint: Archangel Michael is Mrs. Mandy’s Favorite Saint / Archangel. Archangel Michael was the warrior helping the children of Israel. He is God's Top Archangel. Archangel Michael is the Patron Saint / Archangel of the Pre-KB classroom here at Saint Augustine School.
Favorite thing about St. A’s: Mrs. Mandy loves how Saint Augustine School is so welcoming to everyone. She loves the sense of family and faith that Saint Augustine School provides. What she loves the most is coming together every morning for morning prayer with the whole school and all the families. She also enjoys learning about the Saint of the day.

Bio: Miss Fitch has known she wanted to be a teacher since she was in the first grade. This is her second year as a classroom teacher, but she has previous experience as a 2nd - 4th Reading and Math Interventionist. Outside of school, she likes to spend time with her two sisters Chloe (21) and Charlotte (10). She currently resides in North Andover.

Favorite thing about St. A’s: St. A’s is a special place for Miss Fitch. Although she did not go here herself, her mom and two aunts attended the school way back when. She loves the school community because the staff have been so welcoming and the children are always eager to learn.

Bio: Mrs. Doherty always knew she wanted to be an educator in a place where she could share her faith and cultivate moral and intellectual growth in our future generations. She formerly taught English Language Arts in the Middle School at St. Augustine School before assuming her current role as Assistant Principal. Mrs. Doherty lives with her husband, dog, and cat in her hometown, Westford, MA.

Degree: BS in Physical Education/ Health Education from Bridgewater State University. She holds a professional level Mass teaching license for grades K-12.
Bio: Mrs. King has been the Physical Education teacher at St. Augustine's school since 1995. Prior to that, she taught briefly at Sacred Heart and St. Joseph’s in Haverhill and coached at Andover High School. She is an avid runner, marathoner and hiker and loves all outdoor activities. She also has two parrots named Bob and Trixie who keep her on her toes.
Favorite Saint: St. Sebastian: The Patron Saint of Athletes.
Favorite thing about St. A’s: The St. Augustine community and all of the wonderful memories and experiences here over the years. I have met and have had the pleasure to teach so many students and now have some of their children in my classes and many past students now teach here. I’m so lucky to be able to have my students from N-8th grade and to see how they change and grow from year to year.

Bio: Mrs. Casha began teaching full-time at St. Augustine’s in 2006. Being a military family, she homeschooled her oldest daughter through 5th grade and her youngest daughter through 3rd grade with advanced mathematical applications. Her husband and two daughters then settled in Andover. Both daughters graduated from St. Augustine School. She loves spending time with her family, enjoys listening to audio books, taking long walks on Crane Beach, hiking and cooking for her family and friends.

Favorite thing about St. A’s: Mrs. Casha loves the sense of community which emanates from the families, students, faculty, and staff. Mrs. Casha LOVES teaching YOUR children! Fourth grade is a wonderful year to nurture and witness their fascination with learning and their eagerness to become more independent. But first and foremost, she strives to encourage and inspire her students to live by these words: “If you can be anything, be kind.”

Bio: Miss Casey started teaching second grade at St. Augustine’s in 2020. St. Augustine School feels like home because she attended St. Augustine’s from Pre-K through eighth grade; it has been her dream to be a second grade teacher here! Miss Casey also is the director of the school plays and is thrilled she can continue this amazing school tradition! She is inspired by her mentors to instill in students the belief they can achieve anything they put their mind to. Her son is a current St. Augustine student. Favorite thing about St. A’s: There are so many things I love about St. Augustine’s school, but if I had to choose one favorite thing I would say the community. I feel blessed to be a part of such a faith filled, caring family!

Bio: Mrs. Canning has been a part of St. Augustine School since 1994, first as a parent and then as part of the staff beginning in 1999. She has three children who all graduated from the school. She currently lives in North Andover and loves spending time with her two grandsons, Ray & Jace!
Favorite Saint: St. Teresa of Calcutta
Favorite thing about St. A’s: There is such a sense of community at St. Augustine School. Both myself and a number of others have said that when we are at the school, we feel like we are home!

Bio: Mrs. Calabro attended St. Augustine School from Kindergarten through Grade 8, along with her two older sisters. She then returned to her home away from home and followed in her mother’s footsteps, and started her teaching career at St. A’s in 2011 as a third grade teacher. In 2021, she joined the Special Education team. Mrs. Calabro loves spending time with her family, especially her husband Kevin, daughter Charlotte, and son Keagan.

Favorite thing about St. A’s: St. Augustine School is a true family made up of the very best students, faculty, and families. I love being surrounded by such a strong sense of community.

Bio: Mrs. Burns has been a Catholic School educator for 18 years. Although it is only her second year teaching at St. Augustine’s, she is no stranger to St. A’s; she is an alum, along with her three sisters. She is thrilled to be back where she started her Catholic school journey. She and her husband live in Bradford and have two daughters and two sons.
Favorite Saint: The Blessed Mother
Favorite thing about St. A’s: I love building relationships with my students and watching them grow throughout the year. The sense of community among the faculty and families makes it a joy to spend my days at St. A’s. It has always been a school and parish rich in faith. I feel like I’m home.

Degree: B.A.Elementary Education from Arizona State University; M.Ed. School Guidance Counseling PreK-8 from Cambridge College.
Bio: Mrs. Bradley is a catholic wife and mother of two beautiful children who resides in Bradford, Massachusetts. This is her third year working at St. A’s, and she thoroughly enjoys her time supporting students, their families and our staff. She is a part-time employee and on campus Tuesday through Thursday.
Favorite Saint: Saint Dymphna of Ireland, Saint Gianna Molla, Saint Peregrine O.S.M.
Favorite thing about St. A’s: Mrs. Bradley loves just how devoted to God and religion this school community is. Our school and church is a joyous place where one truly feels connected and well supported. Upon being hired, Mrs. Bradley learned that her paternal Great Grandparents were married at St. Augustine’s Parish when they immigrated from Scotland.

Bio: Mrs. Blanchette has been working at St. Augustine School as a Kindergarten Teacher’s Aide since 2016. She has twins who currently attend St. Augustine School, and one child who graduated from the school in 2019. She lives in Lawrence with her husband, kids, and two hamsters–Shadow and Meadow. She enjoys photography, spending time with family, doing puzzles, hiking, and being creative in her spare time.

Bio: Mr. Bianco has worked in education his entire career, most recently teaching Social Studies in North Andover for the last decade. Having attended Catholic schools his entire life, he is very excited to be serving as Principal at Saint Augustine School. Mr. Bianco and his wife live in Arlington and have three children, two of whom will be old enough to attend St. A’s starting this fall!

Favorite thing about St. A’s: Although I only just started at Saint Augustine School, the families and staff here have been incredibly welcoming. I’m amazed by the number of people who attended this school as students who now send their own children here or even work here! It truly speaks to the incredible sense of community and purpose this school has. I am looking forward to serving you all in the coming years.

Bio: Nurse Jen has been a part of St. Augustine School faculty for over 4 years. Both her sons attended SAS along with 9 of her nieces and nephews. She has been a nurse for 31 years, 29 of those years spent as a rapid response nurse. She enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, bird watching, and her rescue dog Maribel.
